This week I had two photo shoots for my new project, which I'll be releasing details of soon. On
Friday I was at Sapphires Model Agency, shooting three of their beautiful girls. I had the lovely Melanie doing make up and hair and gorgeous lingerie from both Love Baby Grand and Yelena Buck. It was a great day and such a pleasure working with Sapphires.
As you can see from the behind the scenes photos (above), I've been experimenting with using polaroids and film, it feels good to go back to my roots (I learnt photography using film before digital) and I'm excited to get back into the darkroom soon!
On Sunday I photographed India, a beautiful freckled face from Sandra Reynolds (below). Julie done a brilliant job of the hair & make up and we experimented with a few different looks, photographing in natural light.
Now I've got hundreds of photos to narrow down and edit! I'll be spending the next few days in front of my computer retouching (probably with a cat or two curled up on my lap)..

This weekend my boyfriend and I travelled to Stafford for the opening of the RPS Exhibition. I posted recently about being chosen as a finalist in the competition and having my photo included in the exhibition, which tours the UK over the next year.
We attended the private view which, despite the heat, was a brilliant night. The exhibition looked fantastic, I was really impressed with the curation as it must have been difficult putting together so many different images, but they all worked together really well. All of the photographs included were of a high standard and featured all different genres of photography, taken by photographers across the world.
We went back the next day to be able to properly look at all the imagery, as it was very crowded the night before. This also gave us a chance to meet some of the other photographers involved.
I love exhibiting and it was a pleasure being involved in this, as a photographer it is interesting to stand back and listen to what others say about your work.. I was pleased with the feedback I received, yet also surprised by how many people thought the model in my photo was wearing a wig!
All the details about the exhibition, and all the images, can be seen on the Royal Photographic Society's Website.

Today was extremely hot outside so I took advantage of the sunlight shining through the window & shot these in my home studio. I love shooting with daylight as you can work with a really simple set up but still get great results. Of course with Willow sniffing around my backdrop I thought I'd get her involved, the photo of us really shows how much she's grown since I last done photos with her!
